Virocule Inc. is a company engaged in the research, development, and manufacturing of innovative healthcare technologies, with an emphasis on “social conscience.” The company is led by a seasoned management team and advisory board, with over 150 years of combined experience in business management, healthcare, and technology. The company has also forged strategic alliances with global medical and health care experts.

Recently, the company took on the challenge of addressing the devastation caused by the coronavirus pandemic by developing ANOSMIC COVID-19 Smell Tester, a screening device to detect COVID-19 infected symptomatic and asymptomatic patients early and effectively. The concept for this device incubated in 2003 when Michael Bryant, Virocule’s President, was caught in Hong Kong in the midst of the Asian SARS pandemic. He saw a gaping need for a simple and affordable test that could allow people to check themselves for viral respiratory diseases on a daily basis. In 2011, research and experimentation were performed on this concept, and the initial results were promising.

In 2020, when the coronavirus pandemic manifested itself globally, the company was able to quickly develop the ANOSMIC COVID-19 Smell Tester and conduct two clinical studies that proved to be highly successful in screening COVID-19 positive cases. On October 9, 2020, the company obtained Health Canada’s authorization for the sale of its novel medical device in Canada under Interim Order. Virocule has since filed a patent for its technology and three trademarks for its brand.    

The company is manufacturing its products in a 16,000 sq. ft. automated, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) compliant and Health Canada and FDA approved facility located in Ontario, Canada. It currently has the capacity to produce 60,000 units per day.
